Lessons from Leaders in the Law on Wellness

"There is a type of bravery and courage that cannot always be seen. It's a bravery that you have to choose for yourself. You use it in the little, seemingly insignificant choices and decisions you make each day. You keep making these tiny, good choices over and over until you realize your whole life is different and the hero who saved you is yourself."
    - Brittany Burgunder – Certified Professional Life Coach and bestselling author.

Join us on President's Day for an important collaboration by the NJSBA's Lawyer's Well-Being Committee and the Women in the Profession Section that will strengthen and inspire you personally and professionally.

Legal professionals are used to carrying the burdens of others. As lawyers, we pride ourselves on being strong, fierce advocates and trusted advisors. As judges, we pride ourselves on being esteemed decision-makers. At the same time, we strive to be dependable, responsible family members and friends to the people we love. However, superheroes only exist in make-believe. We are all human and eventually, there comes a time when we are overcome by challenges of our own. How do we pick up the pieces and move ahead when we are the ones who are in despair? What can our accomplished role models teach us about how they were able to continue when faced with devastating circumstances? What helped them when things fell apart?

Spend the day with some of the very best, brightest and most successful members of the New Jersey legal community as they share their insights into resilience and strength. We will learn from them and from each other with a day of insightful conversations, inspirational stories and motivating guidance that will help when facing your own obstacles and that will also enhance our abilities as lawyers, advocates and judges.

Please note: Hon. Rachel Wainer Apter's session will be a pre-recorded video.

Join us for a cocktail reception after the program ends.
