Motion practice is a critical aspect of almost every litigated divorce case. It is generally used by a party to the action in seeking specific relief from the Court or for the Court to make a ruling on a contested issue in your case.

Motions lay out the narrative of the entire action and give your clients a chance to get their full story in front of the judge, as they see it. They must be carefully thought out and strategized before any paperwork is prepared. Your certification must be well-written, and supported by the proofs. Your requests for relief must be articulated in a respectful, organized, and straightforward manner. Of course, your filing must not only comport with the Court Rules, but also with New Jersey Family Law.

Sign up for this informative lunch-time webinar to hear from matrimonial practitioners on their experience and expertise on motion practice. Hone your skills in arguing motions before the Court. Learn important tips and techniques on how best to prepare for oral arguments and how to structure a persuasive oral argument.
