Good afternoon Family Law Section members,

On Friday, Dec. 22, NJICLE will present Illumination of Bias from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Online.

Earn up to 3.3 credits, including 3.3 in Diversity.

This program tackles the tricky subject of implicit bias (or unconscious bias) in the practice of law. Poignant film vignettes will serve as the catalyst for interactive discussion among a roundtable of experienced practitioners that will help to shine a light on the harm of implicit bias, both for individuals and the organizations in which they serve. Participants will also come away with practical strategies for identifying and mitigating the effects of implicit biases, and ultimately creating a genuinely inclusive, more effective, and more profitable enterprise.
