The New Jersey State Bar Association has received an important notice about a class action settlement that may impact your present or former clients if they are divorced and are now or may in the future be entitled to life insurance proceeds from their former spouse under the Federal Employees’ Group Life Insurance (FEGLI). Please read the notice from the United States District Court for the District of Delaware in the case of Pascavage v. Office of Personnel Management to learn how to preserve your clients’ rights to FEGLI benefits, or to exclude your clients from the class action.
