Hello Family Law Section members,

I am writing to let you know about an upcoming seminar that you may find of interest.

The Women's Bench Bar conference 2017 & Gender, the Law and the 2016 Presidential Election will be held at the New Jersey Law Center on Tuesday, March 14 from 4 to 8 p.m.

We hope you can make it to this presentation that will address important gender-related considerations in the legal profession, the law, and the political arena.

An introductory panel will provide insight into strategies they use to incorporate politics into their career, as well as the obstacles they face. A second plenary panel will discuss demographics and trends in the 2016 election cycle as they relate to gender, politics, representation and leadership; the contemporary legal landscape; existing and emerging laws, and the current and future composition of the U.S. Supreme Court. The program will conclude by advancing a set of proposed prescriptions for reform with respect to achieving full and equal participation of women in the workplace and halls of leadership.
