I have discussed this issue with 3 other established family law attorneys and gotten 3 different answers! This is my understanding of how child support for 50/50 custody should be computed. You name Dad as PPR and give him the 183 overnights. Then the software automatically tells you to reduce line 35 by $X as per Wunsch-Deffler. Lets say that says Dad owes $100 per week. Then I flip it and do the same thing naming Mom as PPR. Lets say that says Mom owes $50 per week. The question is do you take the average of the difference, the average, or the difference? Does Dad owe $25, $75, or $50?....or something entirely different altogether? Thanks in advance for the insight. (Oh, and if you know the definitive answer, can you direct me to the rule/case that confirms it?..thanks)
