    Hello Family Law Section members,

It's been pretty busy for us here today at the Law Center. As I'm sure it has been for you as well. But......I just have to send you one more email today.

NJICLE is presenting a webinar on Wednesday, Feb. 22 on Ethics in Adoption & ART Practice from 12 to 1:40 p.m.

Lawyers who represent clients, whether in traditional private adoption, open adoption or in the assistant reproductive technology setting (ART) must ensure their conduct conforms to the Rules of Professional Conduct. Attorneys must avoid actual or potential conflicts and address them with clients at the outset, as well as obtain informed consent for all that they do, clearly define their scope of representation and understand the breadth of confidentiality they owe to current and former clients.

This informative webinar, presented by one of the state’s leading adoption attorneys, Debra Guston, reviews the ethical problems that can occur in a variety of adoption situations and provides insight and guidance about how to address them.
