Good afternoon Family Law Section members,

On Wednesday, June 23, NJICLE will present Webcast- PTSD and the Practice of Law from 11 a.m. to 12:40 p.m.

PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome) develops in some who have experienced a shocking or dangerous event and have difficulty recovering from the trauma the incident caused. There have even been cases of PTSD that have resulted from the COVID-19 Pandemic. One in thirteen people in the U.S. will develop PTSD at some point in their life. With the prevalence of PTSD among Americans, it is important for lawyers to be able to identify it and know how to address it. This brand-new seminar will educate lawyers about PTSD to help them better serve clients with PTSD and to help them be able to practice more effectively if they themselves have PTSD.
