Good afternoon Family Law Section members,

On Wednesday, Dec. 9, NJICLE will present Webcast- Marijuana is Legal in New Jersey: Now What? Here is What's Next for You and Your Clients from 3 to 5 p.m.

67% of New Jersey residents voted to approve recreational use marijuana in New Jersey. This new industry will affect nearly every legal practice in the Garden State. From labor and employment to business and corporate law, from family law to civil litigation, from intellectual property to technology/cyber security, from banking to insurance, and, of course, municipal court, criminal law and individual rights there will be a vast change. The question for lawyers is – what will happen now?

The road from ballot approval to codified law is one of opportunity and chaos. There will be many issues to consider and challenges to overcome.

Join the NJSBA/NJICLE as we present an unprecedented panel of cannabis law experts and insiders who can tell you what to expect. You will hear from top legislators including Senator Nicholas Scutari and Assemblywoman Annette Quijano. You will hear from Fruqan Mouzon, who counseled the legislators as the legislation was written and whom NJ.com calls "one of the most influential figures in New Jersey's tortured marijuana history."

If you are a New Jersey attorney, recreational use marijuana WILL affect your practice. Don't miss this unique opportunity that will help you prepare for what comes next.
