Good afternoon Family Law Section members,
On
Wednesday, Sept. 30, NJICLE in cooperation with the NJSBA Senior Lawyers Special Committee will present
Webcast - Advanced Matrimonial Mediation Workshop from
9 a.m. to 1:15 p.m.Family law mediation is not just for parties who can easily reach agreements. High conflict cases can benefit from mediation when the process is conducted by professionals trained in managing conflict and when the mediation process is adapted to meet the needs of the family. At this 4-hour workshop, a panel of experienced family law mediators will discuss techniques for handling and resolving conflicts, and present alternatives to traditional mediation to consider in difficult cases. This program allows you to hone your skill with lectures, discussions, demonstration exercises, and role-plays, so you can more effectively manage conflict and consider alternative models for providing more successful mediations.
We designed this program to fulfill the 4-hour annual requirement for court-approved mediators in matrimonial cases, but any experienced family law mediator who has completed basic mediation training should consider attending. You can also use your program attendance to fulfill the 4-hour annual requirement for court-approved mediators in the Civil, General Equity & Probate Program.
