Good afternoon Family Law Section members,

On Thursday, Dec. 8, NJICLE will present Webcast- Advanced Matrimonial Mediation Workshop from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Family mediation has helped many couples come to a settlement without litigating, sparing them the cost of a trial and giving them a say in how their lives are structured post-divorce. High conflict cases can be challenging to settle, much less mediate. Is mediation possible with volatile or difficult personalities? The answer is yes, but only with skilled mediators at the helm, trained to handle difficult people.

In this year’s advanced matrimonial mediation program, you will gain an understanding of high conflict people and difficult behaviors, be able to identify the challenges in mediating their cases and explore strategies to help high conflict parties and attorneys get to yes and reach settlement. The program will include one hour on ethics, as well as a review of case management issues.
