Has anyone dealt with unwanted, annoying and wasteful faxes, either directly or through an attorney, and will share that experience?

    TIA

I get faxes to my email...saves paper and much frustration. It's also great for archiving docs, because it all comes in as a pdf.

There is a statute (may be federal) that allows for civil damages as a penalty for sending unsolicited faxes. That would not apply to a case where an adversary is faxing something to you.

There's statutory damages available for recipients of unsolicited, junk faxes. I believe you have to notify them first to stop, but I'm not sure?

There's a few cases out there on it, including an attorney who appealed (pro se) the denial of his application for attorney's fees. I know other attorneys have discussed trading off and handling these for each other.

I get faxes electronically via eFax and save the junk ones... if you or someone else wants to go ahead with really taking these annoyances on, I've got 827 of them saved!
