Good morning Family Law Section members,
On Thursday, April 20, NJICLE in cooperation with the NJSBA Criminal Law and Family Law Sections will present Understanding and Handling Domestic Violence Cases, In-Person at the New Jersey Law Center and Webcast from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
NJICLE’s 2023 Domestic Violence program will provide attorneys the opportunity to focus on understanding domestic violence cases and sharpening their trial tactics when handling these matters.
Despite increasing public awareness of the brutality and frequency of domestic violence, these devastating acts continue to occur in alarming numbers among all levels of society. In New Jersey, the Prevention of Domestic Violence Act provides the rubric for handling this type of case.
To achieve the best outcome for the clients you represent, it is essential that you have a firm understanding of the Act as well as real strategies for handling the many situations that can arise when handling these cases. Join us at the Law Center as our panel of respected family law attorneys along with a judge, a prosecutor and a criminal defense attorney will offer invaluable tips and strategies for dealing with DV cases. In one morning, master what might otherwise take weeks to learn.
