Hello LGBT Section and Family Law Section members,
I wanted to share with you news about an all-new comprehensive NJICLE symposium cosponsored by your section and designed to provide a solid understanding of the unique challenges facing Transgender people in New Jersey, as well as concrete strategies that can be put to work right away when representing these clients.
Transgender: Moving Towards an Understanding of the 'T' in LGBT will be
presented by NJICLE in cooperation with the NJSBA LGBT Rights Section, Family Law Section, Immigration Law Section, and Labor and Employment Law Section on
Wednesday, Oct. 2 from
9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the
New Jersey Law Center.
Featuring lawyers, doctors, therapists, social workers and others who regularly work with members of the transgender community, the symposium presenters will explore such topics as humanizing the transgender community, terminology, legal issues, transitioning, healthcare, economic issues, aging and more.
