  • 1.  Transfer to Certified Civil Trial Attorney

    Posted 01-22-2015 01:43 PM

    Hello listmates,

Have a P/I case I want to transfer to a Certified Civil Trial Attorney.  Is there something I should send to them to document the fact that I sent them the file or is just al quick letter confirming the transfer sufficient?  Want to be sure that the third of the third is not forgotten in the end and is documented.

    Best,

    Eric

When you make the referral, send a letter to the certified civil trial attorney confirming the referral and that should preserve the referral fee.

    Eric -

It's customary to receive a quick letter back from the certified civil trial attorney confirming that you will receive the agreed-upon referral fee (and setting out what that will be) once the PI case resolves.  At least, that's what's happened in the cases I've referred.
