Client was in the office Thursday, 12/29, to discuss filing a motion for sole custody. Yesterday, 12/30, I received a text from her that former husband and father of their 11 year old had passed away that afternoon.  Over the past few months due to being disappointed so many times with father's no-shows including scheduled phone calls, 11 year old has said he did not want further contact with his father.  He has not seen his father in almost 4 years.  Mom asked if I knew of a counselor/therapist for child to help child process this and resolve any feelings of guilt the child might have.  Please let me know if you know of a child therapist for this type of issue.
