Dear Friends
Tomorrow is April 15. It is a date of significance as this is the day that we settle up with the taxing authorities. But this year, April 15 has additional special significance. April 15 is the date you will be receiving your ballot to vote on the election of the Bar Association's next Secretary. I hope your choice will be Bonnie Blume Goldsamt.
I have known Bonnie for well over 30 years as a practicing matrimonial lawyer, and mediatior. I have collaborated with her on many Bar and CLE projects. Bonnie is dedicated to the profession and cares about the practice and the quality of life for lawyers throughout the state. Bonnie has the experience and special skills that foster consensus that is needed to work collaboratively with a 51 member Board of Trustees.
Importantly, Bonnie's candidacy for Secretary brings stability and institutional experience to the frontline. Bonnie is the only Woman running for an Officer position that brings actual years of Board service and experience having served 6 years as a member of the Bar Association's Board of Trustees and more than 3 decades of active bar association involvement.
As the candidate of experience and as a consensus builder, we are assured that Bonnie will make decisions that include the concerns of the diverse interests of an increasing State Bar membership.
Is it no wonder that Bonnie has been endorsed by NJSBA Solo & Small Firms Section, NJSBA Women in the Professions, LGBT rights section, Dispute Resolution Section, Bergen County Women Lawyers and the Somerset County Bar Association?
Tomorrow I will be casting my vote for Bonnie Blume Goldsamt for New Jersey State Bar Secretary. I urge you to to likewise.
Best wishes
