    Hello Family Law Section members,

On Wednesday, Jan. 31 NJICLE in cooperation with the Taxation Law Section, Real Property Trust and Estate Law Section, Solo and Small-Firm Section, Elder and Disability Law Section, Business Law Section, In-House Counsel Committee, Senior Lawyers Committee and Family Law Section will present Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017 - How the New Tax Bill will Affect You, Your Clients and Your Practice from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Crowne Plaza Hotel Fairfield.

The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017 was signed by the President on December 22 and will, in most part, become law as of January 1, 2018. The new tax law includes significant individual, corporate and pass-through entity income tax changes, along with changes to the federal estate, gift and generation-skipping tax. Many areas of law will be affected, including real estate, business, pension, tax exempt organizations, trust & estate and matrimonial, to name just a few.

The topics will include, but are not necessarily limited to, the following changes:
    • Individual Personal Exemptions and Itemized Deductions
    • Alimony in Divorce Settlements
    • Individual Alternative Minimum Tax
    • Tax Exempt Organizations
    • Federal Estate, Gift and Generation-Skipping Tax
    • Income Taxation of Estates and Trusts
    • Retirement Plans and Fringe Benefits
    • Taxation of Real Estate
    • Taxation of C Corporations
    • Taxation of Pass-Through Entities (S Corps, LLCs and Partnership)
    ...and more

Because of the unique nature of these major tax law changes, the panelists will be available after the program and will stay as long as possible to answer your questions.
