    Hello Family Law Section members,

On Tuesday, July 16, NJICLE will present Spotting & Avoiding Messy Ethical Issues (and Other Disasters)… Before They Happen from 9 a.m. to 12:35 p.m. at the Westin, Mt. Laurel.

The practice of law has always had its share of stress, but the climate in recent years has been described by many as nothing short of brutal. Demanding clients, difficult adversaries, deadlines, law office management issues, technology malfunctions and the threat of cyber-attacks can make an already stressed practitioner even more unnerved.

How do you stop the "stress train" from barreling down the tracks?

Using clips from the legal thriller Changing Lanes, this presentation provides a powerful and entertaining forum for exploration of the main sources of stress encountered in the litigation process, and the corresponding toll they can take on an attorney's mental health and psychological well-being (and vice versa).

The goal of this program is not merely to examine the intersection of ethics and mental health, but to provide participants with the opportunity to discuss and/or collaborate on practical ways to avoid the kinds of professional and personal problems and pitfalls that can literally ruin a career.

While the subject matter may be intense, the program is fun, interactive, and will entertain and challenge you.
