Is there a statutory prohibition for someone on the sex offender registry from having unsupervised visitation with his own child?

No there is not but it can be complicated because it involves probation/parole and the family court.  Please feel free to call me and I will help you out.

Question along similar vein - How does one have a name removed from the DYFS registry?

I had an abuse / neglect determination reversed today by the App Div -- can anyone tell from the text of this decision (http://www.judiciary.state.nj.us/opinions/a4466-10.pdf) whether SG's name will be removed from the DYFS registry automatically, or is there some other action that needs to be taken?

Usually, on a reversal, the Appellate Division will direct in its opinion the removal of the parent's name from the registry. However, this case was also remanded for a new hearing which is probably why it didn't. You probably have to wait until the result of the new hearing.
