I have a case in Florida where I need to serve a deposition subpoena on the Wife's NJ employer. The Wife works out of her home and lives in Florida. Is a NJ motion necessary to register a Florida Order directing a NJ process server to serve the deposition subpoena and conduct the dep in NJ, or can the Florida Subpoena stand on its' own in NJ without a Florida or NJ Order under the principles of comity and/ or long jurisdiction, and require the NJ employer to appear at the dep in NJ? The employer has no business ties in Florida, other than the Wife working from her home.
