    Hello Family Law Section members,

I am writing to let you know about three upcoming NJICLE seminars of interest to all attorneys.

On Saturday, June 23, NJICLE will present Nuts and Bolts of New Jersey Ethics and Professionalism from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Westin, Mt. Laurel.

The moderator/speaker for the seminar is Thaddeus (Ted) J. Hubert III, Esq., Certified by the Supreme Court of New Jersey as a Civil Trial Attorney and Senior Partner and Ethics Counsel, Hoagland, Longo, Moran, Dunst & Doukas, LLP, New Brunswick. Mr. Hubert, a legal malpractice defense attorney who lectures all across the country on behalf of a major carrier, will walk you through a step-by-step primer on the essentials of law practice risk management/loss prevention, attorney ethics and professionalism.

You will learn the practices and procedures you should adopt, how to advertise ethically and how to handle conflicts of interest, client relations and confidentiality issues in a professional manner. This program teaches you the basics, but even seasoned practitioners can learn pointers from Mr. Hubert's insightful and engaging program.

The tuition for NJSBA members is $154. The general tuition is $190.

On Monday, June 25, NJICLE will present Mastering Microsoft Word for Law Offices: Strategies that Save Time and Get Results from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the New Jersey Law Center.

Word classes designed for the general public just don't address the issues legal professionals face when drafting legal instruments. By contrast, this class is designed by lawyers, for lawyers. In this seminar, you'll learn the right way to set up complex legal documents and how to avoid the formatting problems and delays you're probably used to encountering.

Moderator/Speaker Barron K. Henley, Esq. is one of the managing partners of Affinity's Columbus Ohio office. He is an attorney with 15 years of experience in legal technology. Barron will answer any attendee questions for an entire week after the seminar, and he encourages you to let him help you (it's free)!

The tuition for NJSBA members is $180. The general tuition is $225.

On Saturday, June 30, NJICLE will present Gaps in Your Malpractice Coverage: Avoid Pitfalls of Mergers, Spinoffs, Lateral Hires and Retirements from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the New Jersey Law Center.

The last CLE Saturday for the summer!
Join us for the seminar that will answer all of your questions about malpractice insurance coverage. An experienced legal malpractice plaintiff's attorney, respected insurance professionals and a seasoned professional liability defense attorney join forces to bring you an in-depth analysis regarding the necessity of careful insurance planning no matter what the situation. Whatever the size of your firm or the area of law that you practice, this panel of experts will analyze what you need and when.

They will discuss appropriate insurance when a mid to large-size law firm is involved in acquiring a smaller firm, when a group within the firm "spins off" and when the firm brings in laterals or when partners retire. They will also answer the insurance questions that you may have had but didn't know whom to ask.

    Moderator/Speaker:
    Robert W. McAndrew, Esq.
Law Office of Robert W. McAndrew, Esq., Cedar Knolls
    Speakers:
    Mike Mooney
Senior Vice President, Liability Practice Leader, USI Affinity, Philadelphia
    Thomas F. Quinn, Esq.
