  • 1.  Seeking someone to do an adult guardianship in Burlington County

    Hello all,

I know someone (a fellow Esq., but from NYS), who has a close friend who is seeking to file for guardianship of her elderly parents who reside in Burlington County.  Here's the rub: the daughter actually resides in California.  She is aware she will need to come to New Jersey once paperwork is filed, but she is hoping to be able to do the majority of this work remotely.  Is there anyone who might be able to help her?

Please email me at: [email protected] or call me on my cell phone: (914) 439-0314.  Thank you for any and all assistance here.

Enjoy what's left of the weekend.

    Luisa

She will have to be here for hearing but the doctors and filing can be done from here with technology for signatures and stuff. However, she should think about whether or not she can take care of them as guardian from California, because a guardian should be present for medical and care not just writing checks. Some discussion with counsel is necessary in this case.
