Rosanne,
The case that went the other way and which was not overruled by Larrison is
Claffey v Claffey, 360 N.J. Super. 240 (App. Div. 2003). There was an excellent article in the NJ Family Lawyer, June, 2011 by Patrick McShane, III, in which he offers an explanation for the apparent discrepancy between Claffey and Larrison. I tried to attach the article to this message but was unable to do so. i would be happy to send it to you offline if you would like. -------------------------------------------

Subject: Security for Wife's Interest in PFRS pension
Does anyone know of any case contrary to Larrison that sanctioned the use of life insurance to secure ex-wife's rights in a PFRS pension in the event Husband predeceases her? I can't seem to find one but was wondering if any of you would know. Thank you.
