Late yesterday, Thomas Prol was officially named a candidate for NJSBA Second Vice President after NJSBA staff validated the signatures of the hundreds of his supporters who nominated him. I ask that you consider voting for Mr. Prol. He has demonstrated his passion for the New Jersey State Bar through his decade of service to the New Jersey State Bar Association, which he plans to continue. A vote for Mr. Prol is also a vote in support of diversity in the Bar as he would be the first gay attorney to ascend to the presidency of our State Bar Association if he maintains his rightful position with the executive leadership.
Tom also is the only candidate with experience on the NJSBA Board or incumbency in its executive leadership and has promised to continue to advocate for lawyers, their practices and their clients in shaping laws and policies that affect them. The hallmarks of his leadership tenure at NJSBA are open, transparent and inclusive governance and the elimination of wasteful spending.
He has always maintained and continues to maintain a practice in New Jersey as well as devoting a high level of activity to the NJSBA, including the drafting of a recent amicus brief, one of many in which he has participated.
