Does a retirement distribution have to be included for calculating a party's college contribution obligation? For instance, if a client is receiving alimony and has a modest income, and also takes a large retirement distribution to pay necessary expenses, does she have to include the distribution as part of her income?
If so, can someone point the authority requiring same?
Thank you in advance for any guidance.
