Does anyone have a referral for Rutland, Vermont? Postjudgment child support modification / enforcement issue. There are some issues as to what law to apply. The paralegal / case manager doesn't seem to "get" that the law of the state issuing the first order needs to control on the duration of the obligation - Marshak v. Weser isn't cited in any Vermont cases and they're seeking to emancipate a full time 18 year old student where the first order was entered here in NJ.
So - need someone versed in UIFSA. Client isn't dead broke, but finances are an issue.
