  • 1.  Referral for Fee Arb Dispute

    A client is disputing a Bergen County attorneys bill. He wishes to submit to Fee Arbitration.
    There may or may not be legal malpractice claims involved.
    I am the successor matrimonial attorney but do not handle fee arbitration or legal malpractice claims against fellow practitioners.
    Is there anyone that does this type of work to whom I can refer the fee arb.
    The amount in dispute is 60k.

    I can do arbitration but there is a formal process for fee arb
    Why doesn't the client do that

    Hi.  I practice in Bergen County and have served on the Fee Arbitration Panel.

    I agree that the best way to proceed is by using this Panel.

    He either contacts Terrence Corriston or Michael Sprague.  It depends on whether he falls under District I or District II.
