Referral for Back Child Support Matter

  • 1.  Referral for Back Child Support Matter

    Hi Everyone,

I have a referral for a client dealing with back child support matters.  He and his ex share two children in common.  The children are now both in their early 30's.  He advised he has been paying back child support since 1989 and feels he has long since paid any arrearage.  He indicated the Division of Child Support is advising his ex was on welfare for 4 years and he has to reimburse welfare for benefits that welfare provided on behalf of his daughters.

He indicated he wants to try auditing the Division of Child Support on this matter, as he says there was no way his daughters were on welfare for 4 years.  The law offices I am at do not specialize in this area.  Would anyone be interested in this referral?  Client in the South Jersey area.  I don't recall, but he may be getting garnished for this.

Any help or advice would be appreciated!

    Aliza Anvari, Esq.
