Does anyone have a brief for temporary guardianship on Order to Show Cause that they would be willing to share with me where my client (the son) seeks temporary guardianship of his 89 year old father to protect his assets from much younger wife (in her 30s now) who pushed the elderly man out of home and dumped man at son's house.  Son needs to file divorce on his behalf as well. The father is in failing physical health now as well so quick relief is needed. Thanks

You do not need a brief. You need a complaint, Order to Show Cause, Statement of assets and two evaluations, (choice of physician, psychiatrist, psychologist) who indicate he cannot manage his affairs.

The forms are on NJ Courts Online and are downloadable.  The Court will appoint an attorney for the father and a temporary guardian for the assets; probably also a member of the bar.

You file in the Chancery Division.
