  • 1.  Railroad benefit

    Colleagues,

Client/Husband was a railroad employee and will have a railroad retirement benefit at some point in the future. There is an overview of the RR benefit at the Social Security Admin website and it appears there could be 2 components - a regular benefit that mimics social security and an annuity.  Anyone know if Wife is entitled to anything here with respect to ED?

    Thanks for any help.

Tier 2 is subject to ED.  Tier 1 is a SS replacement and not subject to ED.  If you google you will find support for this statement.
