A client's former husband (and account holder) signed his consent to submit a proposed QDRO to the Plan Administrator for pre-approval. During the review process, the former husband passed away. After some delay, the Plan Administrator approved the QDRO without any changes. The QDRO has been submitted to the court, but the Judge is reluctant to sign it because of the husband's death.
