Does anyone know if I have to pay off a lien that came up on Charles Jones under the following facts:
Client has PI case that settles. We run a Charles Jones search and there is a hit in Camden County Probation for arrears. The arrears are for alimony not child support. Ongoing alimony has been terminated, but the arrears are reduced to a judgment and client is ordered to pay a $100 a month until the arrears are paid in full.
I read the statute to apply to child support not alimony. We don't want to release funds without being sure. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
