Colleagues:
I am curious why one would have to file a motion in order to get an order for publication when you cannot locate the defendant to serve him with the divorce complaint. It seems to me that having to file a motion just delays the process. In the past, which was quite some time ago, I sent the proposed order and supporting certifications, to the judge assigned to the case. When did this change?
