    Will Judge Jones accept a consent case management order without an appearance?

    Yes he will. You can usually fax it and then send it in. Just call his staff first as a courtesy to let them know.

    One caveat... if it is a complex nightmare, the answer may be no. I am saying yes to the usual CMO for the semi-messy standard track case.

    I believe Judge Jones issued a 19 page decision on this very issue a few months ago, tracing the origins of "no appearance case management orders" to Egyptian times. Fascinating read.
