    Hi listmates,

I am looking for statute or rule or case law that says we don't include an alimony figure in the child support guidelines when there is an alimony buyout.

    Any help is appreciated.

Re-posting the alimony buy-out / credit on CSG question under:

<x-tab>        </x-tab>Inclusion or exclusion of alimony buy-out on CSG calculations.

The confusion, I think, is that people click "Reply to Group" and change the subject line, thinking this will start a new thread / message. It doesn't.

If you click on Reply or hit the Reply (or Reply All) button, the "To:" line will look like this -- NJSBA_familylaw_61e8c2d6-9847-46be-aea0-df8d0c8e36e4@ConnectedCommunity.org (with the letters / numbers changing depending on what message you're responding to - here "_61e8c2d6-9847-46be-aea0-df8d0c8e36e4" is the message indicator for the ListServ)

The list serve ignores what you put as the subject line and uses the one you're responding to. For example, I'm changing the subject line on this message to  "Hi mom!" and hitting Reply. See how that's not the subject line coming through (if it is, I'll be embarassed LOL). In order to post a thread / question / comment with "Hi Mom!" as the subject, I'd have to select "Post New Message" instead of "Reply"

You have to select "Post New Message", not "Reply to Group" (or Reply to Sender ) to change the subject line and start a new topic.

Just a quick reminder since I know we've picked up a bunch of new members ... if you want to post a message on a new topic, you have to click the option reading "  Post New Message ." (assuming you're doing this from your email program and not on the website). If you click on " Reply to Group " and just click Reply in your email program, it will continue the thread / subject header. It will do this even if you change the "Subject" on your email (the list-serv will change it to the original one listed).

For example, if you received a message with the subject header "RE: Family Law : Anger management in Hunterdon" and just click "Reply" and change the subject to "Referral needed for
Amherst MA", your message will come through to the list under the header "RE: Family Law : Anger management in Hunterdon", but the body of the message will be on the referral request.
