Good afternoon Family Law Section members,

I am writing to tell you about two programs being presented this Thursday, Oct. 8:
Webcast- Notorious RBG: The Life and Legacy of an Icon, 2 - 4 p.m.
Leadership Skills Series: Lessons from the Bench on Leadership, 5 - 6:30 p.m.

Webcast- Notorious RBG: The Life and Legacy of an Icon, 2 - 4 p.m.
Join us as NJICLE commemorates the life and work of the Hon. Ruth Bader Ginsburg.

Watch the movie "RBG" on your own whenever is convenient. (It's available on several streaming services.) Then, join an esteemed panel of judges and respected attorneys on Oct. 8 for a discussion of the tremendous legacy left by the Justice from her landmark opinions to her "notorious" dissents. Participation from the audience is welcome.

    The CLE program:
Prominent women and men in the law will lead a discussion with the audience about the legacy of Justice Ginsburg. From her success in arguing the 1971 case of Reed vs. Reed , which led to the Court's ruling for the first time that discrimination based on sex was unconstitutional, to her opinions and dissenting opinions, the panel will analyze some of her most important decisions re: women's rights, workplace discrimination and more. We will pay tribute to this extraordinary woman and Justice who, at 5'1", was a figure who will continue to loom large over American jurisprudence.
