    Thanks for the kind words and feedback   so far on the New Jersey Law Journal's Settlement Series.  I wrote this series with the hope of providing  relevant  food for thought for attorneys,  retired judges, mediators, legal  support staff  and all others in the legal community  involved in settlement  negotiations and conferences  -- perhaps the most critical step in any contested civil litigation.
