woman married 43 years to retired army colonel, no children but he has children from first marriage, he recently moved to live with his children in NY becuase of his medical problems it became too much for wife to take care of him day to day. Now her stepchildren deny her access to him when she calls him and she learned he recently changed his will, POA and health care. She doesn't want a divorce but wants to know what her rights under military pension are if she divorces, or he dies and is tryng to decide if she wants a guardianship or if divorce would be easier to protect her property. It is way upstate NY and she would have extreme difficulty getting to court up there.
