  • 1.  Military divorce question

    Posted 05-26-2018 11:16 PM
DFAS will not QDRO a military pension unless there's 10 years marriage and 10 years good service.

I know they go by date of marriage through date of entry of a judgment (not complaint).

Question: If the parties get a limited divorce, does the clock keep ticking until the judgment is converted to an absolute divorce, or does the entry of judgment terminate the marriage for military retirement benefits purposes? (A cite would be appreciated if known).

    Thanks.
