    Hello Family Law Section members,

    On Wednesday, June 20, NJICLE will present Mental Health Law 101 from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the New Jersey Law Center.

    Lawyers routinely deal with individuals suffering from mental illness, and sometimes clients suffer from acute episodes, which require hospitalization or court evaluations. This seminar will provide you with a working knowledge of the voluntary and involuntary commitment process - and the lawyer's role the proceedings. Our distinguished faculty will also discuss competency, relevant case law, and patient's rights, as well as mental health issues that arise in criminal or family cases.

    The tuition for NJSBA members is $159. The general tuition is $199.

    NJ CLE information: This program has been approved by the Board on Continuing Legal Education of the Supreme Court of New Jersey for 5.7 hours of total CLE credit.
    NJ CLE: This program has been approved for 5.7 credits (50 minute hour)
    PA CLE: 4.5 substantive credits pending ($20 fee – separate check payable to NJICLE must be submitted at the end of the program)
    NY CLE (t&nt): 5.5 professional practice credits
