Mental Health Law 101 will be held
Aug. 9 at the
New Jersey Law Center from
9 a.m. to 12:35 p.m.Lawyers routinely deal with individuals suffering from mental illness. Sometimes clients suffer from acute episodes, requiring hospitalization or court evaluations. This seminar will review the voluntary and involuntary commitment process and the lawyer's role in it, competency, relevant case law, and patient's rights, as well as mental health issues that arise in criminal or family cases.
