We, past Chairs of the Family Law Section of the New Jersey State Bar Association, write to you to request your support and vote for Marla Marinucci, a candidate for Trustee at Large of the New Jersey State Bar Association. Marla is a family law attorney at April and Marinucci, PA in Marmora, New Jersey. She serves on the Family Law Executive Committee where she distinguishes herself as an influential and thoughtful committee member. Marla is not only passionate in her practice of the law; she also has the innate ability to be a practical problem-solver. These qualities will serve her and our Section well as a Trustee.
The importance of the upcoming election cannot be overstated. Historically, the Family Law Section has looked to the Board of Trustees to support the interests of our Section's members on issues concerning publication of the Family Lawyer, proposed legislation and rule changes, as well as budgetary issues involving seminars, continuing education programs and events such as the Annual Family Law Retreat. It is of utmost importance that our members continue to be properly represented on the Board of Trustees. This is especially true in the upcoming year when the New Jersey State Bar Association will have to weigh in on proposed alimony reform legislation, judicial vacancies, and a myriad of other issues so crucial to the practice of family law --- issues which will directly impact the quality and economics of our individual practices. Marla is clearly the candidate who we can trust to look after our interests and advocate on our behalf.
