    Dear Family Law Section:

Happy Friday! As you may know by now, the Family Law Section is calling upon all members to donate to the Lawyers Feeding New Jersey campaign. Want to know more? Take a look at the ‘5 Ws’ below!

Who: 1.1 million hard-working residents of the great state of New Jersey do not know where their next meal is coming from. This staggering figure includes elderly individuals, grandmothers and grandfathers alike, who cannot put food on the table as well as approximately 400,000 children who go hungry every day. This is not occurring in a third world country, or some other impoverished far away land. This is effecting our cities, towns and neighborhoods.

What: You can do something very simple to help your neighbors and have a little fun along the way. The NJSBA has created a virtual competition called Lawyers Feeding New Jersey, all proceeds from which go to the Community Food Bank of New Jersey. Last year the Family Law Section was honored for our tremendous commitment to the less fortunate. With the click of a button you can help us achieve that honor again. Every dollar donated provides 5 meals. Show New Jersey what Lawyers, especially Family Lawyers, do every day and help the less fortunate.

Where: To contribute to the Family Law Section Team, please visit our team page on the New Jersey State Bar Association website by clicking here.

When: The donation deadline is February 26, 2016.

Why: Because we all have a role to play in fighting hunger and poverty in New Jersey.

On behalf of the Family Law Section, thank you for your support of this wonderful cause!

    Best,

    Tom & A.J.
