Interesting decision - Appellate Division affirmed Judge Jones today in a case where plaintiff sought to apply to Fugitive Disentitlement Doctrine to preclude an obligor from seeking any relief from the trial court while he was subject to a warrant.  App Div affirmed that the use of the doctrine remains a matter of judicial discretion that should be "sparingly invoked, because remedies that bar consideration of claims on the merits are, in the main, contrary to our notions of justice."
