    BREAKING NEWS from the U.S. Treasury Dept: All married same-sex couples will be treated as married for federal tax purposes, regardless of where they live.  Amended returns for prior years allowed. Here's the press release:

    Mere civil unions and domestic partnerships do not qualify.
