  • 1.  FRO disqualification for physician

Good morning. Is anyone aware of an administrative code provision that would impact a doctors medical license if convicted of an act of domestic violence? Thank you!

    Roseanne,

I know of no administrative code, but I went through this with a physician subject to a TRO, and we verified that any hospital would be negligent if they didn't do a background check, and that, if subject to a FRO, he would fail it, which would have tremendously limited his employment opportunities. Aside from absolutely precluding him from serving in the military, I don't know of any administrative regulations that would be directly implicated.
