Hello Family Law Section and Immigration Law Section members,
On Tuesday, August 23, NJICLE in cooperation with Unchained at Last, will present "Forced Marriage and Child Marriage: Yes, They Happen Here" at the New Jersey Law Center from 9 a.m. to 12:35 p.m.
The seminar will focus on the various forms of forced and child marriage in New Jersey today, and the legal problems women and girls face when trying to avoid or escape from such marriages.
The faculty includes Fraidy Reiss, founder and executive director of Unchained at Last; Peter Basso of Basso & Khare LLC; Lauren Herman of Make the Road New Jersey; Christina Kolevich of Ceconi & Cheifitz LLC; and Matthew Rosen of Hammerman Rosen LLP.
