PRESENTERS
Hon. Ellen Koblitz
Kim D. Ringler, Esq.
The Ringler Law Firm, Waldwick
Hear from a distinguished retired Judge of the Appellate Division and an esteemed attorney with thirty years of experience in providing representation and advice in ethics and disciplinary proceedings. They will share insights into New Jersey’s Rules of Professional Conduct and Code of Judicial Conduct in light of reported ethics concerns stemming from the United States Supreme Court.
New Jersey has stringent standards of ethics for both judges and lawyers, and comparing the New Jersey rules with others can be illuminating when faced with ethical dilemmas of our own. The speakers will examine the Code of Conduct for United States Judges, the ABA Model Standards of Judicial Conduct and proposals that the High Court adopt a code of ethics. They will also analyze examples from New Jersey cases and advisory opinions related to judicial conduct. This analysis will also guide attorneys in our conduct.
Don’t miss this unique view of ethics.
