    Good Afternoon,

    I am looking for an attorney, and perhaps a financial advisor of some sort, for someone who recently discovered that his wife had obtained several credit cards in his name and has incurred substantial debt.  I am looking for someone with whom he can discuss his legal and financial obligations and options.  (This is not a divorce case.) The potential client is in the Camden County/South Jersey area.

    If what you are trying to do is relieve him of the obligation(s), you may be able to deal directly with the credit card company.  I had a similar situation some years ago.  Is he willing to sign an affidavit that he was not aware of the cards, did not apply for the credit, and is innocent of any participation?  The credit card company may then institute fraud proceedings vs. the wife.
